Colman Domingo supports Eric Dane after ALS diagnosis

Colman Domingo attended the 2025 NBCU Emmy Luncheon in Los Angeles where he told People that he is rooting for co-star, Eric Dane after his ALS diagnosis.

Revealing that he heard of the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis diagnosis the same day it was revealed to the public, the actor added, "I haven't been able to speak with him yet. I just got the news yesterday too, and I'm wishing him well. I look forward to working with him."

With Domingo and Dane playing the roles of Ali and Cal Jacobs respectively on Euphoria, the show has been renewed for a third season with production having started two months ago.

Revealing the news to People, Dane stated, "I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”

ALS, according to the Mayo Clinic “is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time.”

“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week,” continued Dane. “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”
