Doja Cat is making it clear that she does not take criticism lightly.
The raptress is calling out her haters after a recent podcast debate reignited her past controversies.
Back in 2020, Doja was accused of being a member of online chatrooms associated with white supremacist groups.
The 29-year-old denied the allegations, saying, “I’m a Black woman. Half of my family is Black from South Africa and I’m very proud of where I come from.”
Doja faced similar accusations in 2023 when a picture circulated online that showed her wearing a shirt featuring controversial figure Sam Hyde.
The past accusations are coming back to haunt the artist after hosts of the podcast Rap Life Review claimed that Doja is “not hip-hop.”
One of the hosts went as far as questioning whether Doja is “Black enough” and asked if she was “playing with white people too much.”
The Say So singer took to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday to express her frustrations.
“I don’t want to stand up for myself in regards to all of these lies being told because to be honest I don’t think it will make a difference,” Doja wrote. “Maybe I’m wrong and maybe it would. I’ve just learned to let ignorance be and let people learn and use their own discernment.”
Doja continued, “If you watch the ‘news’ and believe it all, what kind of person does that make you? I’m enough. My music is enough. My word is enough. Everything following that is everyone else’s problem but mine.”
Doja later deleted the post but not before replying to one user that she is “more angry than you know and incredibly disappointed.”
