The self-proclaimed “drip god” is among the casualties in a brutal shooting in broad daylight.

Houston rapper Sauce Walka was shot on Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee.

According to Walka's family, the 34-year-old was shot in the thigh and is currently recovering from his injuries.

"Had it not been for God, my son would've been dead," Walka’s father told KHOU 11 News.

The second victim, believed to be rapper Sayso P, did not survive the incident and was pronounced dead.

According to the Memphis Police Department, the shooting occurred at Lt. George W. Lee Avenue near the FedEx Forum at around 2:42 PM.

The department suspects that the shooting was targeted and has released the following statement:

“So we’re convinced that vehicle has fled the downtown area. Certainly want everybody to be on the lookout for this white vehicle. We put out a citywide broadcast on that vehicle," MPD Assistant Chief Don Crowe informed the media.

Crowe continued, "Currently, we have detectives from the homicide unit. We have detectives from the CSI unit on the scene conducting the investigation. Hopefully, we’ll be able to develop suspect information real quickly.”

Earlier in the day, Walka and Sayso posted photos on Instagram. The duo were flashing bundles of cash at Reservations Bar near Memphis.
