NBA YoungBoy’s fans will be celebrating sooner than they originally thought.
The Louisiana-born rapper was arrested in April 2024 for his alleged involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme.
The 25-year-old was hit with 63 charges including forgery, identity fraud and possession of controlled substances.
YoungBoy pleaded guilty last August and was transferred from Louisiana to a facility in Utah.
In the following months, YoungBoy’s attorney revealed that the rapper had accepted a global plea. He admitted guilt to 10 counts related to the alleged fraud case and entered a no-contest plea for several other charges.
YoungBoy was sentenced to 23 months in prison, followed by 60 months of probation and was also required to pay $25K in fines.
Initially, it was reported that YoungBoy would be released from prison this July but now the rapper has a new release date.
According to Kurrco, YoungBoy is coming home on April 26, a welcome date change for him and his fans.
This week, it was also revealed that YoungBoy was allegedly involved in a prison fight.
Rapper Birdman’s brother, Terrance Williams, disclosed on Instagram Live that YoungBoy got into it with a fellow inmate after the inmate shouted "OTF!" at him which was a reference to Lil Durk’s Only The Family.
