Will Smith, the multi-talented actor and rapper, has announced the venues for his European tour and fans are baffled at the unexpected locations.
The 56-year-old is not sticking to conventional arenas such as London's Wembley Stadium or Manchester's Co-op Live Arena but will be performing at rather unconventional places.
The Aladdin star put forth the Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Cardiff's Bute Park as the places he would be performing his hits like Summertime and Gettin' Jiggy Wit It.
Netizens took to X, formerly Twitter, reacting to these bizarre locations with one commenting, “Will smith coming to Wolverhampton was not on my 2025 bingo card.”
Another humorously noted, "Sorry… Will Smith - THE Will Smith is touring… playing London, Manchester SCARBOROUGH and …… WOLVERHAMPTON CIVIC HALL. How random.”
A third provided a comparison for perspective, saying, “Just heard Will Smith is playing Scarborough’s open air theatre in August. To put it in football terms it’s like when Socrates played for Garforth Town.”
The Grammy Award-winning artist’s first major album in 20 years, titled Based on a True Story, is set to release on March 28 with tickets going on sale on Friday, March 21.
