An Oasis concert movie is on the horizon and the band has hired a prominent filmmaker for the project.
The band is set to begin its first tour in 15 years this July after Noel and Liam Gallagher put aside their differences and announced the tour last year with concerts being held across several continents.
According to multiple news outlets, the concert film will be directed by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
However, no additional details or release date have been announced. Hence, it is uncertain whether this will be a full music documentary about the reunion or solely centred on the concerts.
The film is distributed by Sony Music Vision and is set to be produced by Magna Studios with Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley serving as producers.
The British rock band was formed in Manchester in the early 1990s; initially consisting of Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Noel joined the band a few months later at Liam’s request.
In 1995, McCarroll was controversially ousted from Oasis with Arthurs and McGuigan leaving the band in 1999.
In 2014, Oasis officially broke up with both Liam and Noel venturing into their respective solo careers.
