Lopez, 55, finalized her divorce from Affleck in January after two years of marriage, but that hasn’t changed the dynamic between her and Garner, 52. According to the insider, the two women have maintained a strong connection and check in with each other regularly.
"Jennifer Garner reaches out to Jennifer Lopez about her kids. Jennifer Lopez reaches out to Jennifer Garner about her kids. They're friends," the source shares. "They have really found a great female support system and communicate."
The source also addressed ongoing rumors about tension between Lopez and Garner, dismissing the idea that there’s any drama between them.
"We're always pitting women against women. In this case, it's just not the truth," the insider stated.
Another source previously told PEOPLE that Affleck and Garner "have been on good terms for a while now and seem to enjoy chatting and hanging out" when they’re together with their children.
Lopez isn’t paying attention to the recent speculation surrounding her ex-husband and his first wife. Despite photos circulating of Affleck and Garner sharing a hug at their son Samuel’s birthday party, the singer and actress remains unbothered.
"She isn't bothered at all," the source clarified, adding, “People are reading into it in a way to create drama where there is none.”
