Leighton Meester, an American actress best known for starring in Gossip Girl, will be making a guest appearance in the second season of the Netflix series, Nobody Wants This, according to Variety.
Wife to male lead, Adam Brody, she will be joined by Miles Fowler who will also be making an appearance in the new season.
Nobody Wants This stars Kristen Bell, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman.
Meester will be taking on the role of Abby who is “Joanne’s (Bell) middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer.”
Meanwhile Fowler will be “Noah’s (Brody) Matzah Ballers teammate who gets set up with Morgan (Justine Lupe).”
“An agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out — together — the unlikely pair, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody), can tell there is something between them. But also potentially between them, with their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families — including her sister Morgan (Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Simons),” reads the synopsis for the series.
It was confirmed by Netflix in October 2024 that there would be a second season of Nobody Wants This, which would be coming to the platform in 2025.
The series is inspired by the show’s creator, Erin Foster’s own love story with her husband, who she met in her 30s and also practices Judaism like Brody’s character, who is a Rabbi.
