Kanye West Calls son Saint a ‘bully’—reveals wild story behind album title

Kanye West isn’t one to hold back, even when it comes to his own kids.

The 47-year-old rapper recently appeared on Justin Laboy’s podcast, where he revealed the unexpected inspiration behind his upcoming album Bully—his 9-year-old son, Saint West.

During the interview, Kanye recalled a moment when Saint got into an altercation with another child.

"Y'know, my son was playing with some kid and then he kicked him. And I asked my son… I said, ‘Why’d you do that?’ And he said, ‘Because he weak.’ And I was like, ‘This man is really a bully right here.’"

Kanye then jokingly admitted that Saint’s behavior was a major influence on the album: "Saint, you the reason for Bully. Don’t Saint do that? He just kick everybody and like push 'em over."

Podcast host Justin Laboy chimed in, teasing Kanye about where Saint might have inherited his boldness. "I wonder who he get that from, which parent. Definitely young Ye."

Kanye agreed without hesitation, responding: "Yeah."
