Valerie Bertinelli shares how she makes her long-distance relationship work

Actress Valerie Bertinelli  establishes a three-week rule to work things out with her long-distance beau. 

In an interview with People Magazine, the 63-yeat-old gushed about her affair.

Valerie said, “Our relationship is unlike any connection we have ever felt. We make our long-distance romance work by visiting each other every three weeks.”

"We never go longer than that without seeing each other, After all, it’s about finding the joy in life and sharing it,” revealed the superstar.

The One Day at a Time actress in the same interview then continued to reflect on how her boyfriend caught her heart by commenting on one of her Instagram posts.

She added, "I thought he was interesting. It was strictly platonic, but there was something about him that I connected with that felt familiar. A comfort level. He felt like a kindred spirit.”

The two kept in touch through social media, "Every few months he would DM me."

However, the couple’s connection got strong after their first phone call in January.

About this, she went on saying, "I was very guarded, as was he, His voice had the most beautiful timbre. I was like ‘Oh, I can’t talk to this man right now because that’s really sexy.”

Valerie Bertinelli and her East-coast based writer boyfriend met in person for the very first time on a romantic getaway to New York City in March.
