BLACKPINK’s Lisa is unlocking new paths for herself outside of her singing career.
On Monday, Variety revealed that the 26-year-old Thai Korean rapper is set to join the cast of The White Lotus in season 3.
In the wake of recent reports, her newly introduced agency LLOUD confirmed the news, "Lalisa Manobal (Lisa’s full name) is set to star in Season 3 of the HBO Original The White Lotus."
The role of the BLACKPINK sensation, which is set to showcase her acting chops in her small-screen debut with the HBO series, was largely kept under wraps.
The production is scheduled to kick off in February, reportedly in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand.
The series, first released in 2021, previously recorded its first season in Hawaii, followed by the second season, which was set in Sicily, Italy.
The White Lotus plot revolves around the stories that take place over a week at the ultra-luxurious hotel White Lotus.
With her onboarding on the project, she has joined the cast, including Lelie Bibb, Parker Posey, Julian Kostov, Scott Glenn, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Nivola, Sara Catherine Hook, and many others.
Lisa is the third member of the girlgroup to enter the acting realm next to Jisoo, who played her first leading role in the JTBC 2021 drama Snowdrop.
Meanwhile, Jennie made her acting debut with a supporting role in The Idol, which premiered in June 2023.
Most recently, Lisa personally introduced her own agency, LLOUD, through an Instagram post.
Taking her vision for the new venture on the social media platform, she wrote, "Introducing LLOUD, a platform to showcase my vision in music and entertainment. Join me on this exciting journey to push through new boundaries together."
