The British multiverse horror-thriller Parallel has started production.

The movie, which was written by Nathan Shane Miller (Surviving Confession), chronicles a detective's struggle to cope with the loss of his son.

A secret gateway to a parallel dimension offers a chance at reunion, blurring reality as secrets come to light as he travels through a small British hamlet shrouded in mystery and terror.

Matthew Tibbenham (Surviving Confession, Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom) is the film's director. James Cosmo (Braveheart, Game of Thrones) and Arifin Putra (The Raid 2) are the stars of the cast.

Additionally, it features Shivani Cassidy (Quarantine Leap), Hannah Al Rashid (The Night Comes for Us), Iskandar Eaton (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and Philip Hulford (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One).

The movie is made by Silent D Pictures, which is run by renowned producer Djonny Chen and his co-producer Ewa Habdas.

The firm is well-known for Dragged Up Dirty, in which Michelle Ryan (Bionic Woman) and Michelle Collins (EastEnders) star, The Haunting of Helen's Bridge, and Before Night Falls, a 2022 Indonesian movie office hit.

Ajo Kacmar of IO Casting handles casting, and Philippe Ashfield of Instant Entertainment handles publicity.

Tibbenham says, “This is not your typical horror movie. It’s a heartfelt story about a father’s grief and a gripping journey through thrilling chambers of horror.”

Delivery of the movie is anticipated for 2024.
