Kelsea Ballerini has nothing to hide from the world when it comes to her fairytale romance.

Speaking to StyleCaster, the country singer described 2022 as a "s***storm" of a year, owing to her tumultuous divorce from Morgan Evans after five years of marriage.

Ballerini, who is currently dating Chase Stokes, told the outlet: "I've done this for a decade. I've done the work. But the eyeballs on the rest of my life is new, so I'm giving myself a lot of grace."

"The thing that we've decided, and to each their own, is when you're with someone that you feel secure with and that you're proud to be with, why not share it?" she continued. "He's also a Virgo; we're both Labrador Retrievers in human form. It doesn't take much conversation to be on the same page. It's been half a year and it's been great."

Ballerini and Stokes were first romantically linked at the beginning of this year.

The Miss Me More singer appeared on Call Her Daddy podcast in February, where she dished on some of the "nasty" details of her divorce.

"How was I married to this person for this long and I had no idea … that bit of character was tucked within that human being," Ballerini marvelled during the podcast.

"I was just tired of showing up in that way all the time and not feeling like I was seen or matched," she said, adding that by the end of the relationship, she was "sleeping on the couch."

After the interview aired, Evans was less than pleased with his ex-wife for airing out the former couple’s dirty laundry. "It’s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren’t reality and that leave out what really happened," the singer wrote on his Instagram at the time.
