Lee Junho and YoonA’s respective representative agencies JYP and SM have denied reports of the pair being in a romantic relationship.
It was previously claimed by media outlet PROOF that the pair were dating in the wake of the success of their romantic drama King the Land, alleging the twosome had decided to star together "for that reason."
Shortly after the rumours surfaced, JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment both insisted that "this was the first time they had heard of the pair being in a relationship," assuring that they were "looking into it."
In another statement to Newson, the agencies vehemently denied any involvement between the K-drama leads.
"The two are close but the reports that they are dating are not true," shared JYP.
SM echoed the proclamation: "YoonA is close with Junho, but the rumors that they are dating are not true."
Dating rumours between romantic drama leads are not unprecedented, and owing to YoonA and Lee Jun Ho’s sizzling chemistry from the very first episode, it didn’t take much to convince the fans.
"Blushing, giggling, twirling my hair, kicking my feet in the air I MEANNN," a Twitter user wrote over the reported news.
"OMGGGGG ALFKAODKS THE WAY I STARTED TO WATCH KING THE LAND TWO DAYS AGO AND AND THEIR CHEMISTRY IS," another enthused. "CONGRATULATIONS ADOKSGOLADKSKKS"
"i wOKE UP TO THIS NEWS IM ALL GIGGLY," a third gushed.
The show’s synopsis read: "Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who's known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand."
