Chrissy Teigen has released the first photo of her newborn child.
The 37-year-old author of the cookbook Cravings posted the first image of her newborn child, Wren Alexander Stephens, on Instagram on Wednesday.
On Monday, June 19, Teigen and her EGOT winner husband John Legend, 44, welcomed their newest child via surrogacy.
In the picture, Wren is sleeping while covered in a white blanket with stars, his thick hair standing up straight. Teigen captioned her post with heart emojis portraying her love.
Teigen's social media post detailed the surrogacy procedure in great detail and stated that she has "always wanted four children."
Teigen and Legend are parents to daughters Esti, 5 months, and Luna Simone, 7, and son Miles Theodore, 4.
"In 2021, we reached out to a surrogacy agency, with our first correspondence inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogacies, to each bring us a healthy baby boy or girl. Twins, kinda?!"
Teigen decided to attempt to get pregnant one last time while it was going on. Instead of employing two surrogates, they used in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to carry one of their children while their surrogate underwent a second transfer.
"We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra," she said, referencing their "most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate," whom Teigen got the chance to be pregnant alongside for a time. "And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you, Wren Alexander Stephens."
