YouTube star MrBeast seemingly had a close brush with death after he revealed that he was nearly part of the crew that went down in the doomed Titan submersible tour on its mission to see the Titanic wreck.

In a post on Twitter, the YouTube star shared a screenshot of a text message in which he was asked to be part of the quintet to see the wreck.

"I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no," he wrote.

Musing about the close call, the YouTube sensation recalled how he managed to dodge a major bullet.

"Kind of scary that I could have been on it."

Doomed Titanic Sub: What Happened

For the unversed the Titan submersible lost contact one hour and 45 minutes into its dive on Sunday, causing a global panic and a high-stakes mission that stretched for days.

The investigation concluded with confirmation of all five crew members' deaths as a result of an implosion after the submersible's parts were found approximately 1,400 feet away from the Titanic wreckage.

The confirmed passengers that were on board the doomed submersible were identified to be British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman; OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush; British businessman Hamish Harding; and former French Navy diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet.

Rescue expert David Mearns told Sky News that the debris identified by a remote-operated submarine was a "landing frame and rear cover of the missing submersible," which the search team concluded that the sub "suffered a crack and imploded under the underwater pressure."

"The hull hasn't yet been found but two very important parts of the whole system have been discovered and that would not be found unless its fragmented," he told the outlet.

"That really indicates what is the worst case scenario which is a catastrophic failure, an implosion."

From the submersible first going missing to its tragic conclusion, news of the incident gripped celebrities and individuals alike.
