Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher made a startling declaration regarding marriage just weeks after completing her divorce from her ex husband.
The 48-year-old Australian actress posted a frank statement about contemporary relationships on Instagram on Wednesday.
Isla threw an old proverb on its head with a bold twist.
“For all the men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Here's an update for you,” her post began.
“Nowadays, 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realise it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage.”
The harsh comment seemed to be a thinly convert attack at Cohen, 53, with whom Isla had broken up last year after 14 years of marriage.
It happened a few days after Isla, who had spotted her ex at a Wimbledon match in England, made another sly jab at him.
Isla made a funny joke about their co parenting relationship, demonstrating that the two were still friendly.
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen quietly split in 2023 and finalized their divorce in June 2025 after 14 years of marriage. They remain friends and committed to co-parenting their three children.
