Matt Berry is in plans to work with Jason Momoa.

In discussions to co-star with Jason Momoa in the Warner Bros. Minecraft film that Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) will helm is Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows).

The plot of the movie and Berry's part are both under wraps. However, the live-action movie adapts the all-time best-selling Mojang sandbox game. The movie is slated to premiere on April 4, 2025.

The makers of the Minecraft movie include Vertigo, Legendary, Mojang/Microsoft, and Momoa's On the Roam. Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Momoa, Torfi Frans Olafsson, Vu Bui, and the late Jill Messick served as the project's producers. Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza, and Jonathan Spaihts are the executive producers.

The role of vampire Laszlo Cravensworth in the popular FX comedy What We Do in the Shadows, which returns for its fifth season on July 13th, earned Berry nominations for both a BAFTA and a Critics' Choice Award. The British actor, comedian, and author's other famous works include Toast of London, which he also co-created, Year of the Rabbit on Channel 4, and the BBC's Great Expectations.
