Dua Lipa makes graceful red carpet debut with French Director Romain Gavras

Dua Lipa and Romain Gavras debuted on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.

On the red carpet for the movie Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers), about a mobster on the run who must remain quiet to avoid a 20-year prison sentence in France, the two were seen holding hands on Friday.

The one-shoulder black dress Lipa, 27, was wearing with cutouts, a large slit, and a silhouette that revealed her back. She completed her ensemble with matching strappy shoes high heels and dangling earrings. Gavras dressed in a black suit and a tuxedo.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Levitating    singer was first seen with Gavras, 41, when they left a party in London in February. According to E! Online, the two were once more seen holding hands during Paris Fashion Week.

Gavras, best known for directing M.I.A.'s Bad Girls    and Kanye West's No Church in the Wild    videos, dated Rita Ora for roughly six months.

Additionally, Lipa is in town to make her Donatella Versace collaborative debut.

They collaborated on a high-end summer collection for the eponymous brand, which the renowned Italian fashion designer, 68, announced earlier this month.

The partnership, entitled La Vacanza, or vacation in English, will have its public premiere on Tuesday during a fashion show in Cannes, France, and will afterward be offered for sale in shops and on Versace's official website.
