Chris Hemsworth has reportedly considered slowing down his fast paced career after it emerged that he is at high risk of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

As per Page Six, Hollywood insiders shared that the Australian actor’s schedule is appearing to look "awfully clear in the not-too-distant future."

The Thor actor is not immediately retiring considering his roster has four upcoming projects, which includes an Avengers sequel and an untitled Hulk Hogan biopic.

However, after the conclusion of those projects, a source revealed that the 39-year-old will be stepping back for a bit considering he is at high risk for Alzheimer’s.

"He doesn't plan to take on many roles because of [learning about his high risk for] Alzheimer's."

Though Hemsworth told Vanity Fair that he is "not talking about retiring by any means," but insiders allude that the current trajectory of his career seems to go on this path.

News of his high-risk Alzheimer's emerged when he was filming his National Geographic and Disney+ docuseries, Limitless.

The actor found out that he is "eight to 10 times more likely" to battle Alzheimer’s.

He told Vanity Fair in November 2022 that "there was an intensity to navigating" his diagnosis, that "triggered something in me to want to take some time off."

"I’ve been completing the things I was already contracted to do," he said.

He added that he wanted to "go home and… to have a good chunk of time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife."

Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky share three children, India, 10, and twin Tristan and Sasha, 9.
