Meghan Markle made Prince Harry realised he’s ‘not a Spare’ at Lilibet’s birth

Being the "spare" is an old proverb that Prince Harry has successfully turned into an entire book, and he recently admitted that his wife Meghan Markle's presence at the birth of their daughter Lilibet helped him realise that he was not one.

Prince Harry described how he brought Lilibet "from that world into this" in his explosive memoir, Spare. Meghan was struck by how much of a man her husband was at the time as a result of this action.

Prince Harry shared how after Lilibet’s birth, Meghan "confessed she’d never been more in love with him than in that moment."

Harry said in his book that he "read them as a love poem" after Meghan handed him the words she had written in a journal about the amazing occasion they had shared.

"I read them as a testament, a renewal of our vows. I read them as a citation, a remembrance, a proclamation. I read them as a decree. She said: That was everything. She said: That is a man. My love. She said: That is not a Spare," Prince Harry shared.
