Singer Matty Healy was saved by his bandmates from a potentially controversial comment during a 1975 show at Leeds.
The 33-year-old band frontman, who previously invited backlash over his poorly rationalized tweet during the Black Lives Matter movement, started off his speech during a break at the show with a potentially problematic statement: "I don't think it's a racist thing to say..."
However, before he could continue, he was interrupted by his band members, Ross MacDonald, George Daniel, and Adam Hann starting their song It’s Not Living (If It's Not With You).
When he realized he's been cut off, the 33-year-old muttered, "Oh for [expletive] sake," before joining in with the rest of the band.
