Jimmy Kimmel is returning to the Oscars stage.
The Academy announced the news Monday, Nov. 8 via their social media.
“Introducing your 95th Academy Awards host, Jimmy Kimmel. Welcome back!” they wrote. “Tune into ABC to watch the Oscars LIVE on Sunday, March 12th at 8e/5p!”
This will be the third time Kimmel will host the ceremony. He previously helmed it in 2017 and 2018.
“Being invited to host the Oscars for the third time is either a great honor or a trap,” Kimmel reportedly said in a statement. “Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no.”
The last Academy Awards saw Chris Rock hosting the ceremony, which also ended up generating an unpleasant controversy after Will Smith came over on stage to slap the comedian for making an insensitive joke about his wife.
