Rena Sofer left The Bold and the Beautiful because she ‘deserves more’

Rena Sofer ended her journey with The Bold and the Beautiful.

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have formally said Rena Sofer farewell after nine years. Just weeks after making her exit from the CBS soap opera, the actress, who portrayed Quinn Fuller from 2013 until 2022, recently talked about her choice to leave.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Sofer claimed that her contract had ended in May and that she hadn't heard anything about it until the final week of filming before the July break.

The actress claims that they informed her that they were unsure of what was happening with her character but requested that she remain on a “recurring basis” until they know it.

“I just felt like if my decision wasn’t set at that point, that kind of made it clear, that they just didn’t know what to do with Quinn, and I felt like I deserved more than just sitting around until they figured it out,” she revealed.

She added, “Especially at the end of the whole ‘Quarter’ story; there was still so much to do, you know. I still wasn’t divorced from Eric [John McCook], and Donna [Jennifer Gareis] was still in the mix of that, and so I just felt like it was time to go.”

In an Instagram post from earlier this month, Sofer informed followers of the news, noting that August 5 marked "not just my daughter's birthday but the end of my 9 year run as Quinn on @boldandbeautifulcbs."
