‘The Odyssey’ star Matt Damon breaks silence on marriage with Luciana Barroso

Matt Damon has revealed how his wife Luciana Barroso has remained an important part of his personal and professional life.

During his latest chat, the actor reflected on his marriage to his better half, whom he wed in 2005, saying, "There's a lot of love and respect underneath the relationship, and a lot of trust."

In chat with People magazine, he said, "It's built on a very sturdy foundation. We continue to grow and evolve as people, and so that foundation's really everything."

He went on to add, "It's the greatest thing in my life."

For the unfamiliar, Damon and Barroso first met in 2002 while he was filming Stuck on You in Miami. 

The couple later welcomed three daughters, Isabella, Gia and Stella.

In addition, Damon is also stepfather to Barroso’s daughter Alexia.

Moreover, the Oscar winning actor said he has relied on his wife's support throughout his career, adding that she reviews his work and offers feedback on his projects.

"She's been a part of that for me since I’ve known her," he told the outlet. "She reads everything I'm doing. She looks at cuts of movies. I've really relied on her notes for 23 years."
