Ian Somerhalder reveals why he quit acting after 'V Wars'

Ian Somerhalder has shared why he stepped away from acting after spending years in Hollywood.

Speaking on the Haley on the Go podcast, the actor recalled his experience with V Wars, he said, 

"I wanted to do V Wars because it was me, not as a vampire, it was me as a scientist."

The actor revealed that after the show was completed, he felt the final version was not what he expected.

He added, "[We] shot the show, moved my whole family to Northern Ontario. Worked really hard on this thing for almost a year, and the show that got turned in wasn’t even watchable."

He also claimed that he spent millions on reshoots to improve the series but the experience affected him physically.

After the situation, Somerhalder mentioned that he decided to leave acting behind and focus on his family and businesses.

However, the actor is now working on his ventures, including Absorption Company and Brother’s Bond Bourbon.
