Victoria Beckham has become the unexpected talking point of England’s dramatic World Cup victory after her seemingly emotionless reaction to Jude Bellingham’s match-winning goal sent social media into meltdown.

The 52-year-old fashion designer was in the stands at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium with husband David Beckham and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper as England battled back to beat Norway 2-1 after extra time on Saturday.

Bellingham proved the hero by scoring both of England’s goals after Andreas Schjelderup had given Norway the lead.

As the decisive strike hit the net, former England captain David leapt to his feet in celebration, punching the air while the rest of the Beckham family erupted with joy.

Victoria, however, stayed seated and calmly reached for her phone to capture the moment, leaving fans convinced she was completely unfazed.

The clip quickly went viral, prompting comedian Jenny Johnson to poke fun at the former Spice Girl on Instagram, joking that Victoria’s "electric" enthusiasm made her England’s "number one fan".

David soon joined the fun, insisting there was more going on than met the eye.

"She was celebrating inside I promise," he wrote alongside a laughing emoji, adding that "her reactions were slightly slower than mine."

Others defended Victoria, with one fan quipping that after decades of watching football because of her husband, she had probably seen it all before.

She has previously addressed her famously serious expression in her 2025 Netflix docuseries, explaining that she often appears to be "smiling on the inside" because she prefers being photographed from one side of her face.
