Jon Pardi's wife Summer breaks silence on 'very difficult' divorce

Summer Pardi has addressed her divorce from country music star Jon Pardi for the first time, describing the end of their five-year marriage as "very difficult" while expressing gratitude for the support she has received from family, friends and fans.

In a message shared on her Instagram Stories on July 7, Summer thanked followers for their kind words following the couple's joint announcement that they had decided to separate. 

According to People, she acknowledged the emotional weight of the situation and said she planned to maintain some privacy as she navigates the next chapter of her life, while continuing to share content related to her work and family.

Jon and Summer announced their split on July 3 in a joint statement, saying they had made the decision after "much thought." 

They emphasized that their two daughters, Presley Fawn, and Sienna Grace would remain their highest priority and pledged to move forward with "love and respect" as co-parents. 

Moreover, shortly afterward, Jon revealed he would be taking a temporary break from social media to focus on himself and his family while continuing his scheduled tour dates.

Court documents later revealed that Summer filed for divorce in Tennessee on May 12, citing irreconcilable differences and listing May 11 as the couple's date of separation. 

As per the outlet, she is also seeking primary residential custody of their daughters and spousal support.

The pair first met on a blind date in 2017, became engaged during Jon's Heartache Medication tour in 2019 and married in November 2020. 

Furthermore, their separation comes just days after Summer shared that her father had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, making the past week especially challenging for the family.
