Game of Thrones is officially bringing Jon Snow back in a new 2026 release though not in the way many fans expected.
The beloved fantasy franchise is expanding with Game of Thrones: War for Westeros an officially licensed strategy game scheduled to launch before the end of 2026 for PC.
The upcoming title will allow players to take control of Jon Snow and lead forces against the Night King revisiting one of the saga’s biggest conflicts.
Fans will also be able to command other major Houses and armies reshaping key battles and altering the course of the war for the Iron Throne through their own decisions.
More recently House of the Dragon returned with its third season continuing the story of House Targaryen and the Dance of the Dragons.
Beyond television and gaming the franchise is also heading to the big screen. HBO and Warner Bros. confirmed earlier this year that a Game of Thrones feature film is in development and is expected to be released in 2030 or earlier.
The movie is expected to revolve around Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros and will reportedly feature the legendary dragon Balerion the Black Dread.
