Selena Gomez made it to the list of 2025 America’s richest self-made women with a whopping $700 million.

The 33-year-old singer earned the milestone achievement after she launched beauty brand Rare Beauty in 2020.

It was estimated by the outlet that her company would hit $1.3 billion valuation within four years, paving her way to the Forbes 250.

Although the milestone was huge, the online community could not help but discuss the bizarre picture used for the cover of the story.

Sharing one of the articles from the source, a netizen made a sarcastic remark: “Maybe use the same picture you used for spreading your fake news.”

Another use on X claimed that the company is already “worth over 2 billion,” while many called the outlet “uncredible” for years.

This refers to one of the biggest mistakes by Forbes after it took down Kylie Jenner from the list of billionaires.

The controversy ignited when the outlet reportedly exposed the Kardashians of attempting to present the youngest member “as richer than she was.”

Why was Kylie Jenner removed by Forbes from billionaires list?

They also accused the celebrity of tax forgery and inflated prices as Kylie tried convincing that the company is making $300 million which was different from real numbers.

Coty disclosed the revenue of the beauty brand to be only $125 million.

It appears due to the reasons mentioned, fans and netizens are not ready to accept Selena as self-made billionaire.
