Timothée Chalamet could hardly contain his excitement as the New York Knicks clinched their long awaited NBA championship victory.
The Oscar nominee has been closely following the Knicks' playoff run and was once again in attendance.
Following the Knicks’ victory in Game 5 against the Spurs, the Dune actor made his way onto the court to celebrate with players and fans, soaking in the moment as confetti filled celebrations began.
He was later seen posing with guard Mikal Bridges while holding up a New York Post front page that read “Champs!” marking the team’s long awaited success after 53 years.
During the post game coverage, he told SportsCenter, “Way rather this than the Oscars! Come on baby!”
He also joined the team in the locker room festivities, where celebrations continued with champagne spraying and group photos.
In a hilarious and now-viral moment, the actor was drenched head-to-toe in champagne, with the bubbly hitting him directly in the eyes.
Clearly struggling as his eyes burned from the spray, he laughed through the chaos while wiping his face.
He later shared a clip on Instagram captioned, “THEY DID IT,” capturing the emotional moment.
In another video from the night, he joked, “I’m not an athlete, usually I have a stunt double to do that.”
