Rumer Willis’ ex-boyfriend has launched an explosive counter-claim in their bitter custody battle.
He alleged that Demi Moore once threatened to “destroy” him during a tense moment after the birth of their daughter.
Musician Derek Richard Thomas, who shares three-year-old Louetta with Willis, made the claims in new court documents obtained by The US Sun.
He responded to earlier allegations made by Moore accusing him of “insane emotional abuse” and coercive control.
Thomas, 39, claimed that tensions escalated just a day after Louetta was born in 2023, when he says Willis had asked for no family visits during the first 40 days postpartum.
Despite this, he alleged Moore and household staff arrived at the home, causing what he described as a “significant disturbance”.
He further claimed the 63-year-old actress, acting on something she had allegedly been told, threatened to “destroy” him.
The musician also pushed back against claims he had been abusive or controlling, instead accusing Willis of previously expressing a desire to move out of state to escape what she reportedly called her mother’s “overbearing” influence.
In contrast, the 37-year-old actress' own legal filings paint a very different picture.
She alleges Thomas subjected her to a “persistent pattern” of emotional abuse, often in front of their young daughter, and claims his behaviour included hours-long verbal tirades and attempts to isolate her from friends and family.
She is seeking primary custody and has requested a formal evaluation, saying Louetta has been left “traumatised” and distressed by the alleged conduct.
Backing her claims, Moore also submitted a declaration, alleging she witnessed “aggressive” behaviour from Thomas during the birth and describing the moment as deeply distressing for her daughter.
