Simone Biles has made a terrifying health confession that has left fans deeply concerned.
The 29-year-old sporting icon revealed that she “almost died” this week after suffering a terrifying mystery health scare that left her in hospital and confined to bed.
The Olympic gymnastics legend shocked fans when she shared a photo on Instagram showing her arm covered in hospital wristbands, alongside a candid message describing the ordeal as one of the most frightening moments of her life.
She chose not to reveal exactly what happened, but admitted the experience had shaken her deeply.
“Almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card this week,” she wrote.
“This was one of, if not the, scariest experience of my life.”
The gymnastics superstar explained that the ordeal was made even harder because her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, was away in Indianapolis attending preseason training with the Colts.
While recovering at home, Simone said she spent much of the week resting in bed and leaning on the support of loved ones.
“Jonathan was in Indy for practices. I’ve been in bed resting this week,” she told followers, before thanking friends and family who checked in, visited her and sent flowers during the difficult time.
The athlete later shared snaps of the floral gifts filling her room, as well as a screenshot showing her resting heart rate, offering a glimpse into her recovery.
The health scare comes after years of Simone speaking openly about the immense pressures that come with global fame.
The most decorated gymnast in history has previously credited therapy with helping save both her career and her wellbeing.
After famously stepping back from competition at the Tokyo Olympics to protect her mental and physical health, she has continued to advocate for self-care and seeking support.
