Jason Sudeikis gets honest about love life post Olivia Wilde split

Jason Sudeikis has admitted dating hasn’t exactly been easy, opening up about the reality of his love life in a candid new interview.

The 50-year-old actor appeared on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast hosted by Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco.

The Ted Lasso star discussed relationships, fatherhood and whether he would like more children.

When asked about having more kids, he said he would only if he “fell in love”, noting he is father to Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9, with former fiancée Olivia Wilde, with whom he split in 2020 after a seven-year engagement.

Dicky pressed him on whether he was single, and Sudeikis confirmed he is, admitting single life has its “ups and downs”, and that juggling dating while parenting can feel “daunting”.

He added that his children will always come first, even above himself, and any future partner must understand that priority, saying he needs his “cup full” before he can give to others.

For the unversed, the Horrible Bosses actor met Wilde on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2011. 

The 42-year-old actress told Marie Claire she never expected romance, while Sudeikis previously recalled meeting her at an SNL finale party.

They got engaged in 2013 with a Parisian-style ring but later split. 

They agreed joint custody in 2023 and co-parent in Los Angeles, with PEOPLE noting they remain a “united front”.

In April 2025, they were seen hugging at a playground while with their children.

The former couple suggested a friendly co-parenting relationship despite their breakup.
