A$AP Rocky reveals emotional toll of shooting scare at family mansion

A$AP Rocky has opened up about the terrifying shooting incident at the Beverly Hills home he shares with Rihanna and their three young children.

The 37-year-old record producer admitted that the ordeal robbed his family of “peace and happiness”.

The rapper broke his silence in a candid interview with VIBE magazine, describing the alleged attack as “f***** up” and revealing the emotional toll it has taken on those closest to him.

“Somebody attempted at harming me and my family,” he said. 

“It took away a lot of peace and happiness of being able to just be free. I don't want to be robbed of my peace and joy.”

The shocking incident unfolded on March 8 when shots were allegedly fired at the luxury property. 

Rihanna was reportedly at home at the time with the couple’s children, RZA, four, Riot, two, and eight-month-old Rocki, thankfully, no one was injured.

Ivanna Ortiz was later charged with 14 felony offences, including attempted murder, multiple counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and shooting at an inhabited dwelling. 

If convicted, she could face life behind bars.

Sources close to the family claim the attack left the 38-year-old singer deeply shaken. 

One insider said the Diamonds singer initially struggled to understand what was happening as gunshots rang out near the home.

“It was terrifying, but Rihanna is thankful everyone is safe,” the source said.

Another insider revealed the star has reportedly increased security measures and even postponed professional commitments in the aftermath of the scare.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman vowed the case would be pursued aggressively, warning that gun violence in residential neighbourhoods “will not be tolerated”.
