Simon Cowell recently sang praises for one particular contestant, Susan Boyle, who famously auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
The America’s Got Talent judge is known for his mean comments for the contestant but Susan was a rarity.
Looking back at his illustrious career, Simon, who judged Susan on British’s talent show for a song, I Dreamed a Dream, clearly went viral at the time.
In his latest interview with Extra TV, Simon gushes he absolutely “adores” her.
“She did more good for our show than probably any other contestant,” explains the 66-year-old.
It is pertinent to mention that Susan pushed the viewers to watch AGT which brought a lot of attention to the third season of the show.
Earlier, Simon revealed that he and his fellow judges mistreated her, calling it “horrible”.
Interestingly, the English TV personality admitted that he misjudged the contestant who had an “incredible voice”.
Calling Susan, a “biggest inspiration” in his career, Simon admired her real character and must have seen her messing around in the wings or something because I thought she was a comedian, a standup comedian”.
“And, yeah, there is that famous awful look between me and Pierce. And that's what we were like on the day,” continued the celebrity judge.
However, Simon noted that one cannot “judge a book by its cover” and Susan proved it.
