Sir Mick Jagger has sent Rolling Stones fans into a frenzy after revealing he “can’t wait” to hit the road again.

The 82-year-old rock icon raised fresh hopes of another Stones tour while appearing on BBC Radio 2’s Tracks of My Years alongside bandmate Ronnie Wood.

Asked if fans could expect to see the legendary group back on stage, Mick didn’t hesitate.

“I’d love to go on tour. Can’t wait,” he said, before adding: “I don’t think it’s going to be this year, but hopefully as soon as possible.”

The comments have fuelled excitement among fans eager to see the Stones perform again after the huge success of their Hackney Diamonds comeback and sold-out North American tour in 2024.

The band are now gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, which lands on July 10.

The record has already generated major buzz thanks to star-studded collaborations with Sir Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

Mick recently joined fellow Stones legends Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood at a launch event in Brooklyn, where they discussed the new record and reflected on their remarkable longevity.

Despite being in his eighties, he insists staying stage-ready takes serious dedication.

“It’s just discipline and a lot of hard work,” he explained.

“Otherwise you can’t do that.”

The new album is also expected to feature contributions from the late Charlie Watts, giving fans another emotional link to the band’s storied history.

More than six decades after forming, The Rolling Stones continue to prove that age is just a number and if Mick gets his way, another tour could be rolling into town sooner rather than later.
