Sabrina Carpenter has secured court protection following claims of repeated harassment and a home intrusion attempt in Hollywood Hills.
According to latest developments, the singer obtained a temporary restraining order against 31-year-old William Applegate over claims he repeatedly lingered around her home.
As per court documents, Applegate allegedly arrived at the 27-year-old actress's front door and tried to push inside, a security guard intervened, but he refused to leave until police showed up.
NBC News noted that, in her filing, the songstress detailed the emotional toll the incidents have had on her, writing, “His pattern of stalking, trespassing, and surveillance has caused me severe and ongoing emotional distress, and I am in fear [of] what he may do if he is not restrained by his Court.”
Furthermore, she alleged that the suspect returned to the neighborhood after his arrest and was seen sitting in a nearby vehicle while conducting what she described as “deliberate surveillance” and “harassment.”
Meanwhile, the accused man is scheduled for a court hearing on June 18.
