Hollywood actor Paul Rudd recently took a brutal dig at airline etiquette, calling it “nonsense” in his new interview.
The Ant-Man actor made an appearance on Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss where he blasted airline rules for the passengers before takeoff and landing, including tray tables, returning to seats to the upright position and switching phones to airplane mode.
“I think all of that is nonsense,” said the 57-year-old.
When Jake questioned about airplane mode, Paul replied, “I know it’s nonsense.”
To this, the podcast host replied, “I only put it on airplane mode because it’s not going to work either way, so I might as well save the battery.”
Interestingly, the Clueless actor noted that the rules came from concerns due to radio frequencies that could interfere the airplane’s communications systems.
However, aviation experts revealed that the mobile devices might interfere with cockpit communications and pilots’ headsets, per Fox News Digital.
Elsewhere in the interview, Paul also defended passengers’ habit of getting out from their seats once flight landed.
“I think it’s all right,” he added.
