CMAT slams critics, says 'its so boring' to address body shaming again

CMAT has once again broken the silence over the "absurd" body-shaming issues which she wanted to avoid.

The Irish singer was recently bombarded with negative comments about her weight after her recent performance.

Notably, the songwriter showcased a highly praised performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend stage on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Soon after her stage, the comments about her "weight" started floating around on the internet, which she has now addressed on her social media post.

Turning to Instagram, she penned, "It is literally so boring for me, a gorgeous genius, to keep having to yap on about how horribly I am treated because of my body,"

She explained that she wants to and would "love" to stop addressing such situations, but, "it keeps happening, at an accelerating and worsening pace as I become more famous,"

The 30-year-old added, "There is no relief from this - nobody can protect me or save me from this, and all that is demanded of me is more and more work as every environment I am placed in becomes more hostile."

It is to be noted that the songstress, whose full name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, has been through the same situations many times as she has labeled the reviews after 2024's festival as "very nasty."
