Amy Adams has revealed why she quietly walked away from Instagram, admitting she simply found herself “kind of boring” online.
The 51-year-old actress, who hasn’t posted on the platform since 2021, confessed she struggled to find anything worth sharing because her life is built around routines rather than flashy celebrity moments.
Amy laughed off the idea of being a social media queen, saying she goes to the same places and sticks to the same habits every day.
Unlike many A-listers constantly posting glamorous snaps and behind-the-scenes updates, the Arrival actress said hunting for Instagram-worthy content just didn’t feel natural to her.
The Oscar nominee also opened up about how finding fame later in life helped keep her grounded.
The Enchanted actress landed her breakthrough role in the 2005 indie hit Junebug when she was already in her thirties, and by then she already had a solid circle of friends and her husband by her side.
Rather than getting swept up in Hollywood chaos, she said that she simply “kept living” her normal life while her career exploded around her.
Now, the Nightbitch actress says she feels more settled and content than ever before.
Looking back on her career with gratitude, Amy admitted she’s finally reached a stage where she feels relaxed and centred, while still excited about what comes next.
