Glen Powell opens up about bizarre fan encounter

Glen Powell has disclosed an odd fan encounter that he had, in which he discovered that one of his female fans eats a picture of him every day.

The Hit Man actor opened up about meeting the woman, who uploads the clips of herself consuming the images on social media, at a red carpet.

In an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy roundtable, the Anyone But You star began, "I didn't know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet,” with fellow guests Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Riz Ahmed, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff.

"They're like, 'Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.' I go, 'What are you talking about?'" Powell revealed of the content creator who goes by the name of @mynameismonique online.

Monique began posting herself eating what she alleges are fully edible pictures of the Top Gun: Maverick actor in June of 2025 in hopes of being cast as an extra in one of his films or TV shows.

The superfan met and took a bite out of a signed photo of Powell at the U.K. premiere of The Running Man in November of 2025 in front of him, and she filmed the encounter which the actor responded to by saying that it was savage.
