Nancy Sinatra has marked the 28th death anniversary of her father, the legendary Frank Sinatra, with a heartfelt tribute.

The 85-year-old took to her social media to honour her father and his legacy by penning a long note about her journey with loss.

“Twenty-eight years ago, the world lost Frank Sinatra, and I lost my dad. I don’t think I’ll ever fully get over the loss of him, or the fact that my siblings and I were disregarded and not given a chance to say goodbye,” the Somethin Stupid singer began.

Nancy went on to praise the late star, revealing that he was one of the most extraordinary men she has ever known and that this occasion has left her thinking about all that he accomplished and how his music has impacted people.

“Twenty-eight years later, the world still sings along with him. Young people continue discovering him for the first time, while those who loved him from the beginning still treasure the man and his music. His music is special because it came from somewhere real,” she added of Frank.

Nancy noted that she regrets that the My Way singer did not get to meet his great-grandchildren and ended the letter on a high, by restating the fact that her father’s music is eternal and his work is not forgotten even decades after his death.
