Chadwick Boseman’s emotional words about Colman Domingo resurface and fans are in tears.

A touching memory of the late Chadwick has resurfaced, after Colman recalled the powerful moment the Black Panther star publicly backed him at a Hollywood party.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 56-year-old actor revealed he was left stunned when the late actor unexpectedly sang his praises during the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s Night Before Party on Oscars weekend.

The Sing Sing star explained that after approaching Chadwick to congratulate him on his soaring success, the late star turned the spotlight right back on him.

Colman remembered 21 Bridges actor declaring to those around them: “Y’all need to know this guy right here. This guy is the truth.”

Trying to brush it off, he protested but Chadwick wasn’t having it.

He doubled down, telling the room: “Know Colman Domingo’s name. Keep your eye on him.”

The heartfelt endorsement clearly stayed with Colman, who would later star alongside Chadwick in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, tragically Chadwick’s final screen performance before his death from colon cancer in August 2020, aged just 43.

Recalling their first day on set, Colman smiled as he remembered Chadwick’s infectious energy.

“He pointed his finger at me and said, ‘I can’t wait to dance with you. We’re gonna dance.’”

But behind the joy was a deep sense of loss.

The Running Man actor admitted Chadwick’s passing hit especially hard because he was one of the few peers who truly understood the pressures of navigating Hollywood as a Black man.

Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan has also spoken movingly of his Black Panther co-star, calling him “a special person” whose legacy continues to fill people with love and pride.
