Victoria Beckham learns to block out 'noise' of public life

Victoria Beckham has opened up about the emotional toll of making her Netflix documentary.

The 52-year-old Spice Girls icon-turned-fashion powerhouse revealed the experience felt like “a year’s intense therapy” as she revisited the highs and lows of her extraordinary life.

She shared her reflections at the Time100 Summit in New York City, admitting the process forced her to slow down and look back in a way she rarely ever does. 

Victoria, known for always pushing forward said, “It was like a year's intense therapy, if I can be honest. Because I always live in the present, and I'm always looking forward.”

The documentary, which charted her journey from global pop fame to respected designer, left her confronting years of setbacks and self-doubt. 

David Beckham's wife revealed she has spent much of her life being told she wasn’t “good enough”, starting from her school days, but insisted she has always fought back stronger.

“I realised that I've spent most of my life being told no,” she said. 

“And every time I've been knocked, I've got back up again… I'm really proud of myself after all these years, and I never thought that I would say that.”

She also joked about her famously meticulous personality, admitting she went into filming as a “control freak” and came out a “reformed control freak” after having to let go during production.

The Wannabe singer also spoke warmly about husband Sir David Beckham, saying the couple have learned to ignore constant media scrutiny. 

“It’s been happening since I was 20… I learned a long time ago to not listen to the noise,” she said.

Her comments come after renewed attention on family tensions following public remarks from son Brooklyn Beckham earlier this year, which sparked headlines about strain within the Beckham household.
