Kris Jenner is delving into her experience with the now famous weight loss drug ozempic before it was popularised.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum revealed that it did not suit her and that she had to switch to something else for her weight loss.
In an appearance on the SHE MD Podcast with hosts OBGYN Dr. Thais Aliabadi and women's advocate Mary Alice Haney the momager said, “I did not do, like, an Ozempic. I tried it. We tried it once when no one knew what it was and it made me really sick.”
Kris added that it made her nauseous to the point that she couldn’t work anymore, after which she decided to try something else.
“I realized that a peptide injection was really great for me, and then I follow it up with supplements. And that was a game changer. That actually bought me an extra couple hours at night because I get up so early.”
The 70-year-old dished that the peptides made her feel energized and that the supplements that she took helped with her hair, skin and nails.
Notably, peptide injections can be used to induce weight loss and improve athletic performance, among other purported benefits but experts caution that the effects of the injections have not been studied extensively and may come with side effects.
