Hugh Jackman’s shocking move at 2026 Met Gala draws ire from netizens

Hugh Jackman recently shocked his fans online after he attended this year’s Met Gala with his current girlfriend Sutton Foster.

The Wolverine star faced criticism from netizens as his appearance with Sutton, holding hands at the event, was likely “a final blow” to his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

Although the couple looked totally smitten, their joint appearance didn’t convince netizens to acknowledge the actor’s relationship with the Younger actress.

Interestingly, social media users took to X and slammed Hugh for his move.

One wrote, “Makes me cringe… wonder how Deborah feels after thirty years of supporting him???”

Another remarked, “Not a fan.”

“I know they are a couple but I think out of respect for his wife of decades they don’t need to be posing for pictures together at these events,” said a third user.

A fourth one added, “Seems these days marriage is so disposable, seems not willing to fight and stay together to fix it these days… sad really.”

Prior to dating Sutton, Hugh and Deborra were married for 27 years and share two children together, Oscar and Ava Jackman.

Meanwhile, the actress was married to her second husband, Ted Griffin, before finalising their divorce earlier this year.
