Rihanna gives 'disappointing' answer about music in red carpet interview

Rihanna walked the red carpet with her beau ASAP Rocky at the Met Gala this year, dressed as if she was an oyster coming out of a shell.

Although the 38-year-old left everyone mesmerised with the look, the rapper seemingly disappointed her fans as she answered a question related to music.

When asked to describe her look by a song, the Diamonds hitmaker denied instantly before explaining that the attire is not one song.

The Grammy winner revealed that it is “full-on albums, all eight albums,” while pointing towards her heavily beaded gown.

While the answer was related to her appearance, Rihanna was dragged by the online community as one of the X users penned down: “The fact that she remembers she has 8 albums… I’m impressed.”

Another netizen was of the opinion that the interviewer from Essence missed on an opportunity to “ask about a ninth one.”

Meanwhile a third fan admitted that they “just woke up from a dream that she announced R9,” which has been delayed for over a decade.

Fans earlier saw a ray of hope after Billie Eilish insisted that the Work crooner should make music. Her company SavagexFenty commented on a reel to address the delay.

The official account noted that the studio record “will be worth the wait, trust,” adding a fire emoji.
