Wendy Williams has accepted her long-term conservatorship and memory care facility placement.

The 61-year-old media personality is no longer resisting, according to celebrity news reporter, Rob Shuter.

The initial diagnosis showed the talk show host has got frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia.

The veteran star is now in a memory care facility in New York under a court-imposed conservatorship. 

Her attorneys have claimed in the on-going legal battle that her memory problems are alcohol-related, distinct from dementia.

Her personal lawyer had earlier indicated that she would be freed before the end of 2025. 

However, as per the insider it turned out to be false and behind the scenes, this is known to be long term.

Moreover, they shared her everyday condition, "She's fragile. Some days she's sharp and engaged, other days she drifts. It's very inconsistent."

Although, Wendy had previously referred to her case as a prison, she has been reported as having gotten comfort. 

The confidant went on to explain, "She has structure, support, and people taking care of her — and that matters."

Continuing, "It's not the ending she imagined. But it's the reality she's living."

Does Wendy Williams leave the memory care facility?

The last time we was seen in the funeral of her father in February 2026. "That's one of the only times she's been out," the source emphasised.
