Halle Bailey makes rare comment about her inspiration Beyonce

Halle Bailey has recently revealed that she started her music career because of Beyonce.

The Little Mermaid star gushes over the iconic singer, as she recalls how Beyonce heard their cover of Pretty Hurts nearly 15 years ago.

“It makes you feel confident in your ideas because she’s acknowledging you,” says the 26-year-old singer and actress while speaking to The Independent.

Interestingly, Halle describes Beyonce as “a very genuine human being,” who “just let us be” at the time.

Elsewhere in the interview, the singer mentions that she and her sister Chloe Bailey, who began their career together, decided to go their separate way in last few years.

Halle notes that it’s “actually been really good for us”.

“I do miss living together, being back in our home studio making stuff, but it’s also cool when you grow up and live your own lives,” she continues.

Halle adds, “I love my sister and I’ll make music with her until the end of time. That’s my home and where I feel my safest.”
